Our Hawaii vacations section will help you get the most out of your trip to Hawaii. We will provide you with valuable suggestions on the best places for families to stay, and a wide range of family activities.
Part of raising a family is building memories that will last a lifetime. A trip to Hawaii will create memories not only of what you did, but of a lifestyle. You will remember the way the ocean waves sound crashing outside your hotel, the way the stars shine so brightly at night, the way the colorful tropical flowers smell and the time your family spent in a very special place.
A family Hawaii vacation has it all. Hawaii can be a place of adventure, relaxation, beautiful beaches, golfing, viewing live volcanoes, snorkeling and swimming in warm tropical waters filled with neon-colored fish, silently gliding over calm waters in a double kayak, soaring through the air in a glider or touring the islands in a helicopter.
The Hawaiian Islands
There a six Hawaiian Islands available to visitors but 4 are really suited for family vacations: Oahu (where Honolulu and Waikiki are), Maui, The Big Island and Kauai.
Each Hawaiian island is unique with many things to do and see during a 2 week vacation, which is why many families return year after year. Be sure to read each island description below to help you decide which island will suit your family for a Hawaii vacation.
To have the best Hawaii vacation don't try to do more than one island a week, if you do you'll spend most of your vacation in inter-island airport terminals instead of on beautiful sandy beaches. The island are far enough apart it takes a full day to check out of your hotel, fly to another island and check into a new hotel.
