The house was used as a stop on the Underground Railroad. Groton Calling all Submarine enthusiasts, you must visit the Submarine Force Museum home to the Nautilus Submarine. Haddam Located in East Haddam is the Nathan Hale School House. The Revolutionary War hero was once the schoolmaster here; on display are some of Nathan Hale’s personal items and local historic pieces. Hartford You can visit the Mark Twain House on your Connecticut vacation. You will find a museum and the 1800’s family home of Samuel Clemens (pen name) Mark Twain.
